The cake was iced with Italian buttercream and decorated with yellow fondant roses. It is topped with two fondant butterflies, painted yellow and lightly covered in white sprinkles for texture. There are also white sugar pearls around the middle of each tier!

Since I've used fondant before in more elaborate designs, I decided to go with a simple, elegant design for this cake. The covering is ivory colored vanilla fondant, as well as the roses on top. The pearls and border are made from white vanilla fondant, and the pearls were made using a mold.
